The gap this fills

Look. AI is incredible. I use it too.

I get it. ChatGPT, Claude, whatever you reach for at 10pm - it is incredible. I too have uploaded photos of suspicious skin lumps or my child's poo when I have spiralled at midnight. I am not here to tell you to stop.

The problem is not the research (although sometimes that is part of the problem). It is what happens after. You end up with a 24-step protocol that is technically correct, completely overwhelming, and not even slightly tailored to the fact that you have three kids, a budget, and no intention of giving up coffee.

And sometimes you are already on the right track. You just need a set of clinical eyes to help you reprioritise, cut the noise, and make it actually fit your life - rather than feeling guilty that you cannot achieve everything the algorithm laid out for you.

A full appointment is sometimes exactly what you need. But it costs time you do not have and money that feels hard to justify right now, which I totally understand. And finding a practitioner who you resonate with and actually thinks in functional medicine terms is its own research project in itself.

So here is what I built instead.

The reality

AI cannot do what a clinician does.

It does not know your full history, your pathology, your medications, or the three things you forgot to mention because they felt unrelated. It cannot tell the difference between what is worth addressing and what is noise. It cannot prescribe a practitioner-only formula, formulate a herbal medicine, or read between the lines of what you are not saying.

What is different here

Clinical judgment is not something you can Google.

15+ years of experience means I know where to push and where to pull back. I know what a functional medicine lens looks like on a thyroid result your GP called normal. I know the difference between a standard dose and a therapeutic one. And I know how to write a plan that fits into the life of a real person, not the persona in a textbook.

And let's be honest

Full consultations are not always accessible right now.

At $89 this is less than most initial consultations and does not require you to find a babysitter, take time off work, or remember which video call app your practitioner uses. Sometimes you just need a second set of clinical eyes. This is that.

A note before we go further

A proper consultation IS better.

I want to be upfront about that. There is real value in sitting with a practitioner, talking through your history, being asked the questions you did not know were relevant, and building an ongoing clinical relationship with someone who knows your case over time.

If you are going to book one, book one. You can do that right here.

But a lot of people are not going to book one. Not right now. Not because they don't want to, but because life is busy and appointments are expensive and the gap between "I should really see someone" and "I actually did" can stretch on for months.

This is for those people. A proper clinical opinion, from a real practitioner, at a price point and in a format that removes every excuse not to get one.

What is included

Everything in your plan

01

Clinical summary

A clear picture of what I found, your key themes, how the pieces connect, and what is actually driving what. Written in plain language, not clinical jargon.

02

Treatment priorities

Ordered by importance so you know where to start. Not an overwhelming list of everything that could theoretically help - a clear, clinically reasoned roadmap.

03

Supplement protocol

Practitioner-only formulas prescribed specifically for your presentation. Dose, timing, and duration all specified. A different standard to what you will find over the counter or online.

04

Supplement review

What you are already taking - what to keep, what to stop, what to adjust - with a clear reason for each. No more guessing whether any of it is doing anything.

05

Nutrition and lifestyle priorities

Specific and actionable, written for your real life. No generic meal plans and no advice that assumes you have twelve spare hours on a Sunday.

06

Testing and referral recommendations

Where further investigation would change the plan, I will tell you what to ask for and how to access it - whether that is through your GP or a private lab.

07

A voice note from me. An actual human.

Not generated. Not templated. Me, at my desk or the kitchen bench or wherever I happen to be, thinking about your specific case and talking you through it. Because after 20 minutes of filling in a form about your health, you deserve a real person on the other end - not a PDF that could have come from anywhere.

08

Direct dispensary link

Your recommended products ready to order in one click. Practitioner-only formulas sent directly to your door. No hunting around, no substitutions.

Simple by design

How it works

01

Purchase your review

Select adult or paediatric. You will receive your intake form link immediately after payment. No waiting, no scheduling, no phone tag.

02

Complete your intake form

A thorough form covering your health history, symptoms, diet, lifestyle, and goals. Allow 15-20 minutes. Upload any recent pathology. The more detail you can write in the form, the more targeted your plan.

03

I review your case

I read everything carefully. I apply 15+ years of clinical experience to your specific picture. I write a plan that is for you, not a version of you. No templates. No generic protocols.

04

Your plan arrives

A written treatment plan and a personal voice note from me, in your inbox within 72 business hours of submitting your form. Plus a direct link to order your supplements.

Is this right for you?

Who this is for - and who it is not

This is for you if...

You want a proper clinical opinion on your specific case.

You have been piecing things together yourself and want a clinician to make sense of it
You know something is off but a GP appointment has not given you answers
You are managing a chronic condition and want functional medicine support alongside your existing care
You are postpartum, perimenopausal, or trying to conceive and want targeted support
You want practitioner-grade supplements prescribed to your specific picture, not guessed at
A full consultation is not the right fit right now, financially or time-wise
You are a parent looking for functional medicine support for your child
This is not for you if...

Your situation needs more than a written review can give.

You are experiencing acute illness requiring immediate medical care
You are in an active mental health crisis
You have an active eating disorder
You are in active cancer treatment
You have a pregnancy complication requiring obstetric management
Your presentation is complex enough to need ongoing clinical management

If I receive your form and your presentation is not right for this service, I will contact you within 48 hours, explain why, and refund your fee in full. You will not be out of pocket.

About Kate

15+ years of clinical experience. Applied to your case.

I am a naturopath, nutritionist, and functional medicine practitioner specialising in women's health, pregnancy, postpartum, paediatrics, gut health, thyroid, and autoimmune conditions. I work with women and families across Australia and New Zealand.

I built In My Clinical Opinion because I kept seeing the same thing - people doing good research, making reasonable decisions, but missing the clinical layer that makes it all actually work.

I also built it because I am a mum of three and I do not always have childcare. A format that lets me do the work I love, at whatever hour that happens to be, felt like the best answer to both problems. Most people do not want a 3am video call with me... but they do want the plan that came from one.

There is a real person on the other end of this. And that person is me! Hi!

Common questions

FAQ

Is this the same as a consultation?

No. In My Clinical Opinion is a written review service. There is no video call, no back and forth, and no ongoing relationship included. You complete a thorough intake form, I review it and prepare your plan, and it arrives in your inbox. If your needs are better suited to an ongoing clinical relationship, you can book an appointment online here.

What if my situation is complex?

Complete your form and I will assess. If I think your presentation needs a full consultation, I will refund your fee and let you know what I would recommend instead. You will not be out of pocket.

Can I ask follow-up questions after I receive my plan?

This service does not include follow-up clinical consultations or ongoing correspondence. If something in your plan is not clear - a dose, a timing, how to take something - you are welcome to reach out and I will do my best to clarify. For anything clinical, a follow-up consultation is the right next step. Because I already have your full history on file, it will be a much shorter and more targeted appointment than starting from scratch.

Will my plan include products I can actually order?

Yes. You will receive a direct link to order your recommended products through my professional dispensary. These are practitioner-only formulas and a different standard to what you will find at the chemist or online.

Do you accept health fund rebates?

No. As a written review service, In My Clinical Opinion does not attract health fund rebates.

What if I have already had recent blood tests?

Upload them in the form. Recent pathology is very useful and I will factor it into your plan. A functional medicine read on your results often looks quite different to what your GP told you.

How long does the intake form take?

Most adults take 15-20 minutes. The paediatric form takes around 20-25 minutes as it covers your child's full history including pregnancy and early life. Please do not rush it. The detail is what makes the plan useful.

My child sees a paediatrician. Is this still appropriate?

It depends on complexity. If your child is under active specialist management for a serious condition, a full consultation is more appropriate. If they see a paediatrician periodically but are otherwise GP-managed, complete the form and I will assess.
